Entendrisme

The single entendre: I say something funny; you fail to laugh.

The double entrendre: I say something twice as funny; you fail to laugh and are also offended.

The triple entendre: I say something thrice as funny but offend only myself; you find that funny.

The quadruple entendre: I say something offensive, but neither of us can quite work out why.

The quintuple entendre: A theoretical impossibility, but for some reason Paraguay is jettisoned into the 24th Century.
